Decision:

Following the running of Race 4, the Kitchen ‘Things Mobile Pace, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr T. W. Taumanu against Mr G. R. Forbes, driver of “Lord Forbes” (5), alleging a breach of Rule 866.  The charge was that Mr Forbes drove with an unapproved whip, in that it was coloured red and white, and not the approved colour of black.



Following the running of Race 4, the Kitchen ‘Things Mobile Pace, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr T. W. Taumanu against Mr G. R. Forbes, driver of “Lord Forbes” (5), alleging a breach of Rule 866.  The charge was that Mr Forbes drove with an unapproved whip, in that it was coloured red and white, and not the approved colour of black.

Mr Forbes had indicated on the information that he admitted this breach of the Rules and that he did not wish to attend the hearing.

In relation to penalty Mr Taumanu recommended a fine of $100-00.  We were satisfied that a fine of $100-00 was appropriate and Mr Forbes was fined this amount.
