DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 2, the Morrison's Saddlery Pace, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. Ydgren under Rules 869(4) and (6)(b) and (c) alleging a breach of the push out rule by Mr M. J. Howard, the driver of HIDALGO (13), prior to the 1000 metre mark.
--Mr Howard had indicated on the Information that he admitted this breach of the Rules and that he did not want to attend the hearing. Video coverage of this incident was shown.
--PENALTY: Mr Ydgren advised that Mr Howard had no previous relevant convictions and a fine of $200-00 was recommended. I was satisfied that a fine of $200-00 was appropriate, and Mr Howard was therefore fined the sum of $200-00.
