DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 2, Phil Murfitt Orthodontist Mobile Pace, an information was filed by Chief Stipendiary Steward, Mr N R Escott, against Licensed Open Horseman, Mr P T Court, alleging that Mr Court drove in a manner causing interference in that "with approximately 200 metres to run P T Court (SUPER KID) when improving his position outwards caused interference to JACCKA PISTOL (J R Dunn)".
----Mr Court was present at the hearing of the information and admitted the breach. The breach was found proved accordingly.
----Mr Escott stated that he relied in the evidence adduced at the earlier protest hearing. Mr Court did not wish to say anything in relation to the incident.
----Mr Escott informed the Committee that he had had a discussion with Mr Court and that Mr Court had expressed a preference for a suspension over a fine for the breach. Mr Escott recommended a suspension of 2 days.
----Mr Court confirmed that he preferred a suspension to a fine.
----Mr Court's horseman's licence was suspended up to and including Thursday, 4 January 2007, which encompasses the meetings at Timaru on 3 January and Addington on 4 January 2007.
