An information was lodged by Stipendary Steward Mr T Taumanu pursuant to Rule 858 (a) and (b) against trainer Mr S McCaffrey on the grounds that in Race 2 ?Mazza D? was presented late into the birdcage and onto the track (7 Minutes).

--Mr S McCaffrey did admit the breach of this rule.
--Mr S McCaffrey was present at the hearing
--Mr Taumanu advised that he was in the parade ring (assembly area) prior to Race 2 and noted that Mazza D was not only late into the parade ring, but did not go onto the track until 7 minutes prior to race start time.
--Mr S McCaffrey admitted he was late presenting his horse into the birdcage. Mr S McCaffrey stated that there were mitigating circumstances in that the amateur drivers race prior, had impeded his horse progressing down from the stabling area to the birdcage.
--In respect of penalty, Mr Taumanu recommended $100 fine.
--The committee considered all of the evidence given and found that the charge had been proven and accordingly imposed a fine of $100 on Mr S McCaffrey.
