--Prior to the running of race 6 at the Counties racing Club meeting on 20 September 2009, Mr Doyle indicated he was unable to ride POLLY PETITE at the carded weight of 55kg. He was replaced by M Walker.
--Rule 520 (4) (c) states “Every rider commits a breach of these rules who, wilfully or without reasonable cause permits himself to be engaged to ride a horse when he knows or ought to know that he will not be able to ride the horse at the weight which it is handicapped to carry or such other weight at which he agrees to ride the horse”
--Mr Doyle admitted the breach. The stipendiary stewards believed that a fine of $200 was an appropriate penalty and on this occasion the Committee were satisfied this was an appropriate amount. Accordingly Mr Doyle is fined $200.
