Following race 5 an information was lodged by Stipendary Steward Mr A Ray pursuant to rule 858(1)(c) when he alleged that Mr M Cameron committed a breach of that rule in that he made contact with another party prior to weighing in.

--Mr Ray said that the jockeys had been warned several times that rule 858(1)(c) would be more strictly enforced and that on this occasion Mr Cameron had been seen to make contact with another person prior to his weighing in.
--Mr Cameron said that the horse that he had just ridden to victory was owned by his family and his uncle came to him and raised his hand. Mr Cameron's reaction was to spontaneously raise his hand and make contact. He said that as their hands brushed he realized that he had committed a breach of the rule and immediately withdrew his hand.
--PENALTY: Mr Ray asked for a fine of $200 - $300.
--After due consideration the committee impose a fine of $200
