Information (6589) was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr J Oatham alleging that rider D Bothamley, BLACKBALLED, who was placed sixth by the Judge, being required to weigh in, failed to do so.
--Mr Bothamley admitted the breach, stating that his horse had finished so far from the first five placed horses that he simply forgot to weigh in.
--It was noted that the Club had no dismounting stewards on duty (except for the Stipendiary Stewards themselves.)
--In fixing penalty, consideration was given to the following points :

- No previous breach under this Rule. --
- No disadvantage financially to the owners of the horse. --
- No disadvantage to investors on the horse.
Mr Bothamley was fined the sum of $100 and was ordered to forfeit his losing riding fee.
--BLACKBALLED was disqualified from sixth placing.
