--Following the running of Race 2, the Temp's Bar Trot, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. G. McIntyre alleging a breach of Rule 870(4)(a) by "Abracadabra" (6) driven by Mr C. D. Thornley. Mr Larter, the trainer and part owner of "Abracadabra", had endorsed on the information that "I do not contest the protest." Mr Larter did not attend the hearing.
----Video coverage of this incident was used to show that "Abracadabra" had broken from its gait with about 300 metres to run, and had continued in a break to the finishing line. "Abracadabra" was accordingly disqualified from its 5th placing. The amended places are as follows.
