--Mr Dunn, the driver of AMBER GAMBLER, acknowledged on the information that the horse had broken before the line and that it was lapped on by the two aforementioned horses. Mr Hope, the trainer of AMBER GAMBLER, was summoned to the room but failed to appear despite a number of oncourse announcements. Mr Dunn stated he represented the connections of AMBER GAMBLER.
--Judges placings were: 11, 20, 16, 15, 6, 8.
--Mr Escott had Mr McIntyre, stipendiary steward, demonstrate the incident on the videos. This showed that just before the winning post AMBER GAMBLER broke from its gait and crossed the line still in a gallop. The horse was clearly lapped on by MODERN TOUCH and JUSTAKIWIBOY.
--In these circumstances we relegate AMBER GAMBLER to behind MODERN TOUCH and JUSTAKIWIBOY in accordance with rule 870(5).
--Amended placings are: 11, 20, 16, 6, 8, 15.
