An Information was filed following the running of Race 4 ? The Informant, Mr JM Muirhead, Stipendiary Steward and the Defendant, Mr B Hancock, trainer of SAND PEBBLES. The Information alleged that trainer, Mr B Hancock, failed to affix the hopple shortner pins on SAND PEBBLES so as not to come adrift. This resulted in SAND PEBBLES breaking from its gait and causing a false start. Mr Hancock admitted the breach of Rule 864(2)(d), and did not wish to be present at the hearing of this Information.
