--The informant was Mr J M Muirhead and the defendant Jnr Horsewoman Ms J Compain.
| -- Following the running of race No 1, an information was filed alleging a breach of rule 869 (3) (b) --The informant was Mr J M Muirhead and the defendant Jnr Horsewoman Ms J Compain. --Ms Compain admitted the breach of this rule and was assisted by her employer Mr S J Reid --The information alleged that junior horsewoman Ms J Compain drove P K Bunny carelessly striking the wheel of the sulky of Soleil D?or causing her own horse to be checked. --Mr Reid asked that due to pressure of having several horses in at this meeting both him and Ms Compain did not wish to attend the hearing of this information. --Mr Muirhead showed the video of this alleged breach and this showed P K Bunny to have struck the wheel of Soleil D?or as alleged. --Decision And Reasons. --This Judicial Panel has taken into account the frank admission of the breach of this rule by Ms Compain and also having viewed the video of this incident Mr Muirhead stated that Ms Compain has only recently started driving and this was her first charge, Mr Muirhead submitted a fine was inappropriate and a suspension of Ms Compain's licence was more appropriate in this instance. --A suspension of Ms Compain's horseman's licence was imposed up to and including the 14th January 2005 effectively one day. |
