| ---- An Information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr J MUIRHEAD alleging Horseman L CHIN drove Illin carelessly during the running of Race 7 striking the back of Springfield Allison (R Richardson) and causing Illin to break and lose its chance with about 400 metres to run. ----Dr Chin admitted the charge and was present for the hearing ----Evidence was given by Mr Muirhead of Illin travelling well near the 600 metre mark 3 deep and on the running line. Looking to improve he moved from the running line onto the back of Mr Richardsons horse striking Illins front legs against Springfield Allison's sulky breaking up and losing all chance ----The charge was proven and following submissions on penalty taking into account Dr Chins driving record, frequency of drives and his early acknowledgement of liability the Stipendiary Stewards penalty sought of two days suspension or $250 fine was reduced to $200.00 ----
