| -- An information was filed instigating a protest in race number 2, the informant was Mr. J M Muirhead and this was a protest against horse number 6 Tracey's Dream placed fifth by the judge on the grounds of a breach of rule 870. It was alleged that tracy's dream had broken from its gait and galloped for a distance of approximately 80 meters in the run home. --The Judges placings for this race were 1st No 4, 2nd No 2, 3rd No 1, 4th no 9, 5th No 6, 6th No 16. --This protest was not contested by the connections of Tracy's Dream and Mr. Ricky May the driver of Tracy's Dream concurred this mare had galloped for 75 meters which is in breach of the rules. --Mr. Muirhead showed the video of the run home and this clearly showed Tracy's Dream to be off stride for a distance of about 80 meters in the run home. Mr. Muirhead sought disqualification of this horse from its 5th placing. --Decision and Reasons. --This protest was not contested by the connections, and the video evidence confirmed that Tracy's Dream was in breach of rule 870, by galloping for a distance of 80 meters in the run home. The Judicial Committee orders that Tracey's Dream be disqualified from its 5th place in this race. The amended placings for race number 2 shall now read 1st No 4, 2nd No 2, 3rd No 1, 4th No 9, 5th no 10, 6th No 15. |
