An information was filed following the running of race No 3 the informant was Mr. J M Muirhead and the defendant Mr. N Chalmers (Junior Horseman). The information alleged a breach of rule 869(3) (b) careless driving and the information stated that Junior Horseman Mr. N Chalmers drove Miss Sharvid carelessly causing interference to Eagles In My Pocket (C Te Tomo) with resultant interference to Puhinui Gold (S Butcher), racing into the first bend.
--Mr. Chalmers admitted the breach of this rule and was present at the hearing. Mr. Lawson was also present. Submissions were heard on penalty from both parties and Mr. Chalmers driving record was presented for perusal. The driving record of Mr. Chalmers showed no breaches of any rules.
--Decision And Reasons.
--Having taken into account the clean driving record of Mr. Chalmers and also his frank admission of the breach of rule 869 (3) (b) this Judicial Committee imposes a suspension of Mr.Chalmers horseman's licence for a period of two days up to and including the 25th November 2005.
