Mr Goodwin suggested a fine was the appropriate penalty together with forfeiting the riding fee.
--When arriving at a penalty the Committee took into account that it was Mr Fields first offence, however, the horse had been disqualified from 4th placing costing the owners $400-00 in stake money. The Committee felt a monetary penalty of $400-00 was appropriate and also ordered that the riding fee be forfeited.
