Riverton RC – 17 April 2006 – Race 5

ID: JCA20662

Hearing Type:
Old Hearing

Rules:
520.4.b

Hearing Type (Code):
thoroughbred-racing

Decision:

Mr Johnson, after time for consideration, you?ve admitted a breach of Rule 520(4)(b) in that you permitted yourself to be engaged to ride both MOVEN AGAIN and GRACE DE SOIR in race 5.

Mr Johnson, after time for consideration, you?ve admitted a breach of Rule 520(4)(b) in that you permitted yourself to be engaged to ride both MOVEN AGAIN and GRACE DE SOIR in race 5.

--

--

The breach arose out of you and your partner, Ms Belinda Middlewood, both accepting rides for the second day at Riverton. Having 2 people involved in the process was always likely to cause problems and unfortunately this is just what eventuated today. Mr Phillips has explained the angst this double booking has caused him and the connections of GRACE DE SOIR.

--

--

You must sort out who is going to accept rides on your behalf, you or your partner, and stick closely to this. Our suggestion is that you get all trainers to deal directly with Ms Middlewood.

--

--

Taking into account your admission of the breach and that this is your first breach of this rule, we fine you the sum of $100.
