An information was filed following the running of race No 5 the informant was Mr. J M Muirhead and this information was a protest against horse number 6 placed 4th by the judge on the grounds of galloping for approximately 150 meters in the run home.

As the protest was not contested by the connections of No 6 Eight Carat Bell, and this horse was clearly in breach of rule 870 I order that Eight Carat Bell be disqualified from it's 4th placing. The amended placings shall now read 1st No 3,
