Following the running of Race 9, the Robbie’s Bar & Bistro Clarence Street Riccarton Handicap Trot, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. M. Ydgren alleging a breach of Rule 870(3), (4)(a) and the "Breaking Horses" Regulations by "Racey Product" (15) driven and trained by Mr G. D. Archer.

Following the running of Race 9, the Robbie’s Bar & Bistro Clarence Street Riccarton Handicap Trot, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. M. Ydgren alleging a breach of Rule 870(3), (4)(a) and the "Breaking Horses" Regulations by RACEY PRODUCT (15) driven and trained by Mr G. D. Archer.
--It was alleged that the horse had broken from its correct gait in the straight, and had been in a break for more than 50 metres on reaching the winning post. Video coverage was used to show this incident.
--Mr Archer did not attend the hearing, but he had endorsed on the information that he agreed that his horse should be disqualified.
--Accordingly RACEY PRODUCT was disqualified from 4th place, the amended places being as follows.
--1st – PHOEBE SUNSET (7)
--2nd – HAZEL MAUD (11)
--3rd – MASTER IN COMMAND (2)
--4th – CLEAR SKY LADY (9)
--5th – CASTLETONS BOY (4)
