--Following Race 6 an information was filed under Rule 871(3), alleging Mr D Leung (Apprentice Jockey) made a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post. Mr Leung pleaded guilty.
--Mr D O'Sullivan assisted Mr Leung at the hearing.
--Stipendiary Steward Mr A Coles, demonstrated on the race video that approximately three strides prior to the winning post Mr Leung flourished his whip in a celebratory gesture. Mr Coles confirmed that Mr Leung raised his arm high and pointed at the potential dangers.
--Mr O'Sullivan said that he sees this frequently in Hong Kong racing. He said that it was Mr Leung's first time winning for the stable and he was excited.
--Mr Coles made submissions on penalty. He sought a fine in the range of $500-$800.
