Decision:

Following the running of Race 3 Stipendiary Steward Mr JM Muirhead instigated a protest against horse number 6 Braig placed fourth by the Judge

Following the running of Race 3 Stipendiary Steward Mr JM Muirhead instigated a protest against horse number 6 Braig placed fourth by the Judge on the grounds of breaking from it's gait and failing to regain it's correct gait in the run home.

The protest was not contested and the breaking of his horse was acknowledged by Trainer SP Doody.

Mr JM Muirhead demonstrated the incident by use of video film and showed that Braig broke in the straight and galloped for almost 100 metres prior to the finish.

The Committee ordered that Braig be disqualified from fourth place and the amended placings are now 2, 1, 9, 5, 3 and 4.
