--Following the running of Race 1 a protest was lodged against the fourth horse, CONZAKAS (No.2) by Stipendiary Steward, Mr P Knowles, on the grounds that CONZAKAS broke at the start and was not in its proper gait, for approximately 400 metres, thus breaching Rule 870(4)(a).
--The protest was not contested.
--Video footage was shown of the start and the distance CONZAKAS galloped relative to distance markers on the track.
