Following race 2 an information was filed pursuant to Rule520(4)(c)) when it was alleged by Stipendary Steward Mr J Oatham, that Mr A Ihaka failed to make the handicapped weight for MR FLECK (R 1) and SKANDEL (R 2).

Following race 2 an information was filed pursuant to Rule520(4)(c)) when it was alleged by Stipendary Steward Mr J Oatham, that Mr A Ihaka failed to make the handicapped weight for MR FLECK (R 1) and SKANDEL (R 2).
--Mr Ihaka admitted the breach.
--Mr Oatham said that in Race 1 Mr Ihaka was 1kg over the listed weight but there was no replacement rider available so Mr Ihaka had held the engagement. In Race 2 a replacement rider was available and Mr Ihaka had been replaced. This was Mr Ihaka’s 1st charge under this rule. Mr Oatham asked for a fine of no less than $100.
--Mr Ihaka had nothing to say.
--When imposing a fine of $100 the committee reminded Mr Ihaka that he must be more disciplined in turning down rides if they required him to ride at a weight that he could not achieve.
