Decision:

Prior to race five Mr Sanders filed an information pursuant to Rule 520(4)(c) when he alleged that Mr Cameron, rider of WILL O’ THE WISP in race five, failed to make the handicapped weight. 



Prior to race five Mr Sanders filed an information pursuant to Rule 520(4)(c) when he alleged that Mr Cameron, rider of WILL O’ THE WISP in race five, failed to make the handicapped weight.  Mr Cameron admitted the breach.

Mr Sanders explained that Mr Cameron’s manager took the ride, but on race morning Mr Cameron discovered he was half a kilo over.  Mr Sanders said to his credit he immediately informed the Stewards so a replacement was engaged immediately.  He said Mr Cameron had incurred two previous overweight charges in the last 12 months and recommended a $200 fine.

PENALTY:
The Committee took into account the above submissions, in particular Mr Cameron’s guilty plea, his immediate notification to Stewards and his record.  Accordingly we impose a $200 fine.
