DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 6, Stewart Dawson Jewellery Handicap Trot, an information instigating a protest was filed by Chief Stipendiary Steward, Mr N R Escott, against GLENBOGLE (D J Butt), placed 3rd by the judge, on the grounds of interference to JASMYN?S GIFT (P M Williamson) in the run home.
--The Committee was informed that a call had gone out for the connections of GLENBOGLE. Mr Butt informed the Committee that he was happy to represent the connections and for the hearing to proceed in their absence.
--Me Escott called Mr Williamson to give evidence. Mr Williamson stated that, while Mr Butt had moved out, his own horse had contributed to the interference by moving ground inwards towards the finish of the race. This was demonstrated on video replays. Following Mr Williamson's evidence, Mr Escott sought the leave of the Committee to withdraw the protest.
--Leave was granted and the protest was withdrawn accordingly.
