Following race 9 an information was lodged pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged by the informant, Stipendiary Steward Mr R Neal that  Mr Collins committed a breach of that rule when he permitted his mount DEBBIES GIRL to shift inwards near the post on the first occasion tightening SAINT CROSS and PENTALLION which was checked.



Following race 9 an information was lodged pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged by the informant, Stipendiary Steward Mr R Neal that  Mr Collins committed a breach of that rule when he permitted his mount DEBBIES GIRL to shift inwards near the post on the first occasion tightening SAINT CROSS and PENTALLION which was checked.

Mr Collins admitted the charge.

Mr Goodwin demonstrated the video. He showed where, as he field were about to leave the front straight for the 1st time, Mr Collins racing a generous 3 wide with Mr Carmine and Mr Taylor on his inside. Mr Collins allowed his mount to move in putting pressure on SAINT CROSS and then PENTALLION who was checked. Mr Goodwin said that Mr Collins did straighten DEBBIES GIRL but the damage had already been done.

As Mr Collins had admitted the charge the committee has to adjudicate on penalty only.

Mr Neal gave Mr Collins very good record of 1 charge in the previous 12 months. He asked for a suspension of at least 4 days.

Mr Collins asked to be able to ride on 20 February and also said that he rode only in the Central Districts.
