Following the running of race 1 an information was lodged by Mr. Williams instigating a charge against Mr. A B Thomson.
| -- Following the running of race 1 an information was lodged by Mr. Williams instigating a charge against Mr. A B Thomson. It was alleged that horse number 16 Sun Dhu had with approximately 200 meters to run had been shifted out by Mr. Thomson when not sufficiently clear resulting in Hello Star [S J Thompson] being tightened for room and contacting Masta Gee Gee [S McNally] and as a result Hello Star left stride. --At the outset of the hearing Mr. Thomson confirmed his admittance of the breach. With regard to penalty Mr. Williams submitted that this is a situation where a suspension should be imposed and given that Mr. Thomson only drove the one horse that the suspension would need to be for a number of days. Mr. Thomson for his part accepted that his license should be suspended and the committee after taking all matters into consideration including his clear record and that he does not drive on race days a lot his license to drive is suspended from completion of racing today the 12th September 2004 until the completion of racing on the 26th September 2004 [in effect of 3 days]. ---- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
