By way of explanation Mr Burgess said he simply forgot because the horse was going so good. He also said that on a previous occasion he had asked Mr McIntyre whether he had to use the earplugs and that Mr McIntyre had said "no". Mr McIntyre by way of clarification elaborated upon his response to Mr Burgess at that time. ----Mr McIntyre asked for a fine of $100. ----Mr Burgess you are fined the sum of $100. I note Mr Burgess the margin between 1st and 2nd was ? of a length. You are an experienced horseman. You are reminded in no uncertain terms of your obligations under the Rules of Harness Racing. ----Chairman ------ -- --
