| -- Protest. --Following the running of race No 7 an information was filed alleging a breach of rule 870 and it's subclauses, the informant was Mr J M Muirhead and this was a protest against horse No 5 Precious Dylan which finished 5th in this race for being in a break over the last approximately 75 meters of this race --The judges placings at the finish of this race were 1st No 10, 2nd No 3, 3rd No 4, 4th No 1, 5th No 5. --This protest was not contested by the connections. --Mr Muirhead showed the video of the concluding stages of this race and this clearly showed Precious Dylan to have broken from its gait and failing to regain it's proper gait before the finishing post. --. Decision And Reasons. --The Judicial Committee upholds the protest and orders the disqualification of Precious Dylan from it's 5th placing under the provisions of rule 1003. --The amended placings for this race shall be 1st No 10, 2nd No 3, 3rd No 4, 4th No 1, 5th No 9, 6th No 7. |
