Decision: Following race 5 an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871 (1) (d) when it was alleged by the informant, Stipendiary Steward Mr J Oatham, that Miss T McMullen, rider of BEAU CASUAL, committed a breach of the Rule when she permitted her mount to shift inwards approximately 200 metres after the start
Following race 5 an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871 (1) (d) when it was alleged by the informant, Stipendiary Steward Mr J Oatham, that Miss T McMullen, rider of BEAU CASUAL, committed a breach of the Rule when she permitted her mount to shift inwards approximately 200 metres after the start forcing MARTINI TIME ridden by L Callaway, into the line of VICTORIA CROSS, ridden by L Satherley, who was checked.
--Miss McMullen, who was represented by Mr S McKee, admitted the charge.
--Stipendiary Steward Mr Coles demonstrated the incident on the video. Miss McMullen could clearly be seen to move inwards on her mount when not sufficiently clear, causing the resultant interference to VICTORY CROSS.
--As Miss McMullen admitted the charge we are required to adjudicate on penalty only.
--Mr Oatham gave Miss McMullen’s record which showed one suspension from limited opportunities. He asked for a suspension for an offence at the lower end of the scale.
--Mr McKee said that Miss McMullen had engagements at Dargaville on 7 May.

PENALTY
--After due consideration the Committee suspended Miss McMullen from race riding from the completion of racing on 7 May until the completion of racing on 17 May 2008 – 4 days.
