Following Race 7 an information was lodged against Jockey SC Spratt alleging a breach of Rule 871(3), namely, that she was the rider of CAPTIVATE and made a celebratory gesture prior to passing the winning post.
--Miss Spratt admitted the breach.
--Penalty:
--Taking into account all submissions from Mr Coles and Miss Spratt, her plea of guilty, good record, explanation, Mr Coles submitted a small fine would be appropriate. Mr Coles submitted this was at the lower end of the scale.
--The committee agreed with Mr Coles' submissions and accordingly imposed a fine of $200.
