An information lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr B Van Kan against Messrs R Green and R Mitchell, trainers of TUAPEKA TIZ, alleging a breach of the above rule in that they presented the horse in the assembly area without removable earplugs, the horse having raced with removable earplugs at the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting on 23rd February 2007.
--The defendants admitted the breach and did not wish to be present at the hearing. Mr Van Kan explained the circumstances as per the Information and recommended a fine of $200.00, taking into account the stake payable for the race ? this is a premier racing night.

--The committee took into account the recommendation of Mr Van Kan and also the fact that this is a standard fine breach and imposed a fine of $200.00.
