Mr Black admitted a charge of careless driving arising out of the incident which resulted in the successful protest in race 5.
--
Mr Black admitted a charge of careless driving arising out of the incident which resulted in the successful protest in race 5.
----Mr Knowles stated Mr Black's record was exemplary over the past 2 years and that all that was usually required was a word with Mr Black now and then. He asked for a fine in the range of $200 to $250 saying the incident had resulted in interference and the loss of stakes money for the connections. Mr Black submitted a fine was appropriate as there was a shortage of junior drivers in the south and he reminded the Committee that it was nearly Xmas!
----Taking into account Mr Black's admission of the breach and his excellent record we are satisfied that the matter can be dealt with by way of a fine. He is fined the sum of $200 and reminded in no uncertain terms of his obligations under the Rules of Harness Racing.
