Prior to race seven an information was filed pursuant to Rule 520(4)(c). The informant, Mr Williamson, alleged that Mr M Cameron, declared rider of ELEVENFIFTYSEVEN failed to make the carded weight.

--Mr Cameron admitted the breach.
--Mr Williamson said that Mr Cameron’s agent told the trainer of ELEVENFIFTYSEVEN that Mr Cameron would ride his horse. Mr Williamson expressed some surprise at this as it was unusual for Mr Cameron to make this weight.
--Mr Cameron said it was miscommunication between himself and his agent, Mr Lees. He knew he had three rides, but did not look at their weights.
--PENALTY SUBMISSIONS:
Mr Williamson said that Mr Cameron had four previous charges under this rule in the last 12 months, therefore he submitted a fine of $200 - $400 would be appropriate.
Mr Cameron had nothing further to say.
--PENALTY:
The Committee took into account all the above factors, and as this was Mr Cameron’s fifth charge in the last 12 months told him of their concern at his re-offending. They told him of the need to communicate more closely with his manager. Accordingly we impose a fine of $350.
