An information lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr J Muirhead against Mr P Nairn, trainer of DAY OF RECKONING and INSPIRE alleging a breach of Rules 858 (a) and (b) in that he was late presenting the horses into the assembly area and on to the track – the horses were presented into the assembly area seven minutes prior to start time.
--Mr Nairn admitted the breach and was present at the hearing.
--Mr Muirhead informed the Committee of the facts as outlined in the information. He recommended a fine in the region of $100.00 - $200.00. Mr Nairn said that it had taken him a bit longer than anticipated to get organised.

PENALTY
--In fixing penalty the Committee took into account the following matters :
--1. The guilty plea.
--2. The submissions of Mr Muirhead.
--3. The acceptance of those submissions by Mr Nairn.
--4. The recommended starting point for a breach of this Rule is $200.00.

Balancing those matters the Committee imposes a fine of $200.00.
