Under Rule 508 (2) and (5) an information was lodged alleging that Trainer Mr M Pitman failed to declare a rider for GOVERNOR BAY by the required time.
--Stipendiary Steward Mr S Ching commenced by stating that whilst he had extended the Declaration of rider time by some six hours on the Saturday (from Sat 1 pm to 7pm) Mr Pitman had still failed to declare a rider for GOVERNOR BAY.
--DECISION
--The committee found the charge proven.
--When considering penalty, the committee found that, considering Mr Pitman trained many horses, he had a very good record in this area. The committee agreed that a fine of $50.00 was appropriate.
