| -- DECISION & REASON: --Following Race 2 an Information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged by the informant, Stipendiary Steward Mr A R Coles that G J Grylls, the rider of JOLLY GENIE, committed a breach of the Rule when his mount shifted inwards after the start when not the required distance clear, causing tightening to DOUBLE DOWN (B R Jones) and LARRINKA (A Calder), Mr Grylls admitted the charge, --PENALTY: --Mr Oatham demonstrated the films which clearly showed the inward movement of Mr Grylls? mount and the resultant interference to the two horses inside him. --Stiendiary Steward Mr Coles said he felt the offence deserved a suspention. --Mr Grylls, when given the opportunity, had do explanation or submission on penalty. --After taking into consideration Mr Grylls? guilty plea the committee suspends him from the conclusion of racing on 5 March 2005 until the conclusion of racing on 16 March 2005. ----
