--N Goodwin filed an information alleging a breach of Rule 638(1)(d) in that V Johnston allowed her mount Figure Again to shift out over the concluding stages into the line of Flower of Fashion which was checked.
--Mr Neal gave his interpretation on the video of Miss Johnston riding Figure Again out in the concluding stages of the race, Miss Johnston was moving out and riding with vigour, starts one off the fence and ends up 5 to 6 horse widths off the fence, there was no attempt to straighten and finally Flower of Fashion (L Allpress), out in the middle of the track with a clear run to the line, takes a check.
--Miss Johnston confirms that the film shows it all.
--The charge is proven.
--Penalty
--Mr Goodwin stated that Miss Johnston has a clean record and the Stewards view the offence at the lower end of the scale and seek a four day suspension. Miss Johnston confirmed she has a clean record and has declared rides on Sunday 7th February.
--Decision
--The committee have taken into account Miss Johnston’s good riding record, her admittance of the breach and that this offence is at the lower end of the scale. They impose a penalty by way of suspension which will commence at the close of racing on February 7th to the close of racing on February 13th (4 days).
