| -- An information was lodged instigating a protest, the informant was Mr. J M Muirhead and this was a protest lodged on behalf of the connections of horse No.6 Strassman against horse No.1 What You Call, driven by M/s M Wallis. This protest was lodged on the grounds that What you Call came out and caused interference to Strassman with 350 meters left to run, Strassman going off stride and losing ground eventually finishing in 11th place. --The judges placings for race no 8 were 1st No 13, 2nd No 7, 3rd no 12, 4th no 1, 5th no 3, 6th no 8. --M/s Wallis was present at the hearing and did not contest this protest M/s Wallis represented the connections of What you Call. --Mr. Muirhead showed the video of this incident and identified the horses concerned. --M/s Wallis stated she had come out too soon and she also stated she had made an error of judgment. --Decision And Reasons. --As the protest was not contested we order that the horse What you Call be relegated to 11th place and the placings are amended accordingly --1st no 13, 2nd No 7, 3rd no 12, 4th No 3, 5th no 8, 6th No 9. |
