An information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr A Coles against Jockey M Walker for a breach of Rule 520(4) (c).
--Mr Walker admitted a breach of the rule and made submissions as to penalty. He stated that he knew on arrival at the course after a holiday that he was overweight and notified the trainer of ZAGATA. He knew his responsibility as a jockey to make the carded weight.
--Mr Coles stated that it was a first offence of a breach of this rule and submitted a $150 fine was appropriate.
--The Committee imposed a fine of $150.
