Following the running of Race 1, Wilsons TAB & Sports Bar Mobile Pace, an information was filed by Chief Stipendiary Steward, Mr N R Escott, against Licensed Open Driver, Mr C J De Filippi, alleging that Mr De Filippi “struck and raced inside three pylons in the run home whilst driving COLDSTREAM” in the Race.

Mr De Filippi had signed the Statement by the Defendant on the information form indicating, firstly, that he admitted the breach of the Rule and, secondly, that he did not wish to be present at the hearing of the information. The charge was found proved accordingly.

Mr Escott showed a rear-on video replay of the final 200-300 metres of the Race. He pointed out Mr De Filippi driving COLDSTREAM, looking for racing room, switch to the inside for a run and, in doing so, he clearly struck and raced inside three markers as alleged in the information.

Mr De Filippi was fined the sum of $100.
