An Information lodging a protest was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr N ESCOTT after the running of Race 10, on behalf of the connections of MILLWOOD BETTE (P JEFFRIES) placed 5th by the Judge against SUMMER DREAMING (L NEAL), placed 3rd by the Judge alleging a breach of Rule 869

SUMMER DREAMING was represented by Mrs NEAL as both the driver of and part owner in the horse.

--

Mr JEFFRIES gave evidence of running out of room on the turn with Mrs Neal on his outside with her horse coming under his, contact being made and then her horse breaking.

Mr MUIRHEAD Stipendiary Steward gave evidence from his view point at the top of the straight of Mrs Neal 3 wide on the turn following BRONZE ROSE (T SHAW) with MILLWOOD BETTE (P JEFFRIES) in the 1 1. FOREVER LOYAL (P FERGUSON) began dropping back and this allowed

BRONZE ROSE improving to move into 2 wide. Mrs NEAL following also moved in.

Mr Muirhead heard Mr Jeffries shouting for room as Mrs Neal tightened him up. Contact was made and M Jeffries broke and Mr Ferguson was forced inside the pylons.

Video evidence supported the evidence given.

Mrs Neal said the evidence given was a true account and had no issues to raise

Accordingly the Protest is upheld

--

Mr ESCOTT submitted that SUMMER DREAMING be relegated to finish in 5th place behind MILLWOOD BETTE.
