DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 6, the Ashburton Trotting Club F&M Mobile Pace, an Information Instigating a Protest was filed by Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. R. Williams alleging a breach of Rule 870(3) and the “Breaking Horses” Regulation by “Flyover” (5) which finished 5th in the race.

DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 6, the Ashburton Trotting Club F&M Mobile Pace, an Information Instigating a Protest was filed by Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. R. Williams alleging a breach of Rule 870(3) and the “Breaking Horses” Regulation by “Flyover” (5) which finished 5th in the race.
--Mr J. B. McDermott, the trainer of “Flyover”, did not attend the hearing, but had written on the Information “I do not contest the protest”. Mrs Williams used video coverage to show that “Flyover” had broken from its gait at the start of this 1609 metre mobile race, and had continued in a break for more than 150 metres.
--Accordingly “Flyover” was disqualified from its 5th place. The amended places are as follows.

3rd – Ashley Cullen (16)
4th – Bonnie Ballymena (11)
