Following Race 4 an information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr C J Allison alleging that JUST A CRACKER, placed second by the judge, broke over the concluding stages
Following Race 4 an information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr C J Allison alleging that JUST A CRACKER, placed second by the judge, broke over the concluding stages being lapped on by GALLEONS SURPRISE. Video evidence was shown and it clearly showed that JUST A CRACKER was in the incorrect gait at the line and was lapped on by number 6, GALLEONS SURPRISE. He was not lapped on by any other horse.
--Also, Stipendiary Steward Mr N McIntyre pointed out the 50 metre mark and both stewards affirmed that the horse broke after this mark.
--Mr McRae agreed that his horse had been lapped on by number 6, GALLEONS SURPRISE.
--DECISION :
--I relegate number 8, JUST A CRACKER, to third, and promote number 6, GALLEONS SURPRISE, to second.
