DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 3, the Blue Stars Taxis Christchurch Mobile Trot, an Information Instigating a Protest was filed by Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. R. Williams alleging a breach of Rule 870(3) and the “Breaking Horses” Regulation by “Goldstar Invasion” (10) which finished 5th in the race.

DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 3, the Blue Stars Taxis Christchurch Mobile Trot, an Information Instigating a Protest was filed by Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. R. Williams alleging a breach of Rule 870(3) and the “Breaking Horses” Regulation by “Goldstar Invasion” (10) which finished 5th in the race.
--Mr S. M. Evans, the Trainer of “Goldstar Invasion”, attended the hearing and advised that he did not contest the protest. Mrs Williams used video coverage to show that, just after the start, this horse was in a break for well in excess of 150 metres.
--Accordingly the protest was upheld and “Goldstar Invasion” was disqualified from its 5th placing. The amended places are as follows.

2nd – Take For Granted (4)
3rd – Royal Loch (7)
4th – Aruba (8)
5th – Kiwi Girl (6)
