DECISION AND REASONS:

Following the running of Race 10, the "Northbrook Waters" Residential Estate Mobile Pace, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. G. McIntyre against Mr Gerard Moody, licensed trainer of Dancing Cheval (10), alleging a breach of Rule 864(2)(b) in that the shaft spreader had come adrift during the running of the race.

Mr Moody indicated on the information that he admitted the breach of this rule,

and also that he did not wish to attend the hearing.

Mr McIntyre used video coverage to show the malfunction and recommended a fine of $100-00. I was satisfied that this was an appropriate fine and Mr Moody was accordingly fined the sum of $100-00.
