An information was lodged by Stipendary Steward Mr JM Muirhead against Mr T Cowan the Driver Coca Vicola alleging that Mr Cowan failed to maintain as straight a course as possible to the finishing line when driving Coca Vicola.
----Mr Cowan admitted the breach of the Rule and did not wish to be present at the Hearing.
----Mr Muirhead demonstrated the incident to the Committee by use of the video films and showed the movement of Coca Vicola towards the finish.
----Mr Muirhead said that a fine was recommended in this instance and that the recommended level was between $250.00 and $500.00. Mr Muirhead acknowledged however that Mr Cowan had readily admitted the breach and that he was quite open about it and he has a good driving record. Mr Muirhead recommended that the minimum fine should be imposed.
----The Committee after taking all matters into account imposed a fine of $250.00.
