This is an “uncontested’ protest hearing instigated by Stipendiary Steward Mr C Allison following the running of Race Ten. The grounds for the protest are that ‘With approximately 150 metres to run, THE AGENT (D Dunn) broke and failed to regain its correct gait. The driver of THE AGENT, Mr Dunn, representing the connections endorsed the Information that he did not contest the protest and did not wish to be present at the hearing. The provisional placings were:

2nd Ibdeman (No 14)

3rd Galleons Theory (No 11)

4th Tristan Bromac (No 8)

Mr Allison demonstrated the incident using available video footage. He told the Judicial Committee that THE AGENT had broken with 150m to run and had failed to regain its correct gait. This was clearly evident on the video footage. The connections of The Agent had earlier indicated that they did not wish to contest the protest.

Reasons for Decision:

The protest is not contested and the evidence is clear that THE AGENT galloped continuously for the last 150m of the race.
