The Protest is not contested and accordingly is upheld.  SURREAL MOMENT is disqualified from the Race.

The amended placings are :       first       (5)   LEANNES BOY

                                                 fifth      (11)  OUR DAINTY LADY

It is ordered that dividends and stakes are paid in accordance with the amended placings.

Facts:

An Information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr JM Muirhead against the 5th placing of SURREAL MOMENT in Race 4 the TYRES4U HANDICAP TROT on the grounds of breaking from its gait in the Home Straight and galloping for the last 60 metres of the Race.

Part Owner and Trainer Mr RJ Lawson endorsed the Information with the words " I do not contest the Protest."

Mr Muirhead demonstrated the incident by use of the Race Films and these showed SURREAL MOMENT breaking from its gait with 60 to 70 metres to run and then continuing in a break up to and past the finishing line.
