Following the running of Race 6, The One Smart Coffee Junior Drivers Trot, Stewards lodged a protest under r 870 (3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations alleging the fifth placed ONE OVER DOVER broke in excess of 50 metres inside the final 200m.

Mr Munro, with the aid of the video replay, said ONE OVER DOVER was finishing strongly down the centre of the track when it broke from its gait approximately 80 metres from the finish. ONE OVER DOVER continued in a break to the finish and was placed fifth by the Judge.
The connections of ONE OVER DOVER did not the contest the protest.
