It alleged that MASTER MERLIN galloped further than 150m (The horse finished in 5th position).
Mrs S Donnelly acting on behalf of the connections endorsed the Information that they did not wish to contest the protest.

Mr Muirhead showed the film replays and said that MASTER MERLIN went into a gallop some 300m from the finish of the race and continued to gallop until the end of the race.
He submitted that the horse be disqualified.

The Committee was satisfied that MASTER MERLIN had galloped for the final 300m of the race and in accordance with Rule 870 (3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations, determined that the horse be disqualified.
It was also noted that the connections did not contest the protest.
